Content Descriptors Digital Technologies Processes and Production Skills Follow, describe and represent a sequence of steps and decisions (algorithms) need to solve simple problems (ACTDIP004) Linked with: Digital Technologies Knowledge and Understanding Recognise and explore digital systems (hardware and software components) for a purpose (ACTDIK001) The Australian Curriculum – Technology (ACARA, 2016), states that by the end of Year 2, students will have had opportunities to create a range of digital solutions through guided play and integrated learning, such as using robotic toys to navigate a map or recording science data with software applications. One such robotic toy being used in schools all around the world is Bee-Bot. Bee-Bot is an exciting new robot designed for use by young children. This colorful, easy-to-operate, and friendly little robot is a perfect tool for teaching sequencing, estimation, problem-solving, and just having fun (Terrapinlogo.com, 2016)!
